during the JETT Heat Pump Product Launch.

I believe and everyone will agree with me that, at this point in time, in order for our company, the Marco Polo Davao, to have a better GOP—we have to minimize our expenses without compromising the quality of our service. There are so many ways to cut the expenses and one of them is the utility cost. Utility expense comprises electricity, LPG for our kitchen, and water and diesel fuel. Fuel rate is increasing every week and some analysts say it will continue to soar.

A year ago, JETT Water Heater Co., Inc. visited our office to introduce their energy-saving water heating system. Their JETT Heat Pump is said to save up to 80% compared to electric resistance heaters and 65% against the steam calorifiers. It was a coincidence, I may say, because at that time I was tasked by our GM to further reduce our energy cost. We made a feasibility study and it turned out that the project was viable. In short, we placed an order and our JETT Heat Pump was installed and turned over on April 18, 2006. 

We forecasted to save 4,200 liters per month but our savings reached more than 5,000 liters. In the forecast, ROI is for 27 months but at the rate we are now going, investment recovery is possible in 18 months or maybe even less.

And there are other great benefits of having a JETT Heat Pump aside from the big savings. Free cold air is one. Another is being able to help reduce pollution and save, in our own little way, our mother earth… for our children and the generations to come.
